Downtown Art Gallery features artist Linda Krupp throughout October
Krupp taught at Merritt Island High, Faculty Development at Brevard Community College
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Downtown Art Gallery announces its October featured artist, Linda Krupp. She has been painting for 30 years. Krupp is acclaimed for her traditional oil paintings with attention to detail.
Krupp is also a master at knife painting with his wide areas of color and texture.
Krupp is currently experimenting with encaustic painting, an ancient technique that combines beeswax, damar varnish and colored pigments. Heat is used to melt or burn off the colors on the paint surface.
Krupp divides his time between Titusville and Asheville, North Carolina. These diverse estates inspire his art with subjects ranging from tropical scenes and sea creatures to landscapes reflecting his rural North Carolina heritage with rustic barns and farm animals.
Krupp has distinguished experience as an educator with a doctorate in educational leadership. She taught at Merritt Island High and then worked in faculty development at Brevard Community College.
After her retirement, she became a student again, taking every opportunity to take an art class to perfect her techniques. Now she teaches painting in her home studio and in Asheville. You can see examples of his work on his website.
Linda’s work can be seen at the Downtown Art Gallery, 335 S. Washington Avenue in historic downtown Titusville during their regular hours: Monday through Friday 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday 11 am to 3 pm.
